Sonia discovered mah jongg after retiring as a hospital CEO, looking for something that would challenge her mind, spark new connections, and bring fresh purpose to her days. What began as curiosity quickly became something more—an energizing, ever-evolving passion that captivated her.
Today, mahjong is more than a game in Sonia’s life—it’s a vibrant community and a source of joy she loves to share. Based in South Tampa, Florida, she plays regularly and teaches others, creating welcoming spaces where strategy, laughter, and connection come together around the table.
